Job Purpose

The Freelance Graphic Designer will be responsible for delivering creative, innovative, and professional graphic design services to support the entity’s marketing, communication and branding objectives. The incumbent will ensure that all visual material is of high quality, aligned with the brand identity, and delivered within set deadlines.

 

This is a twelve (12) month fixed-term freelance contract, commencing 01st October 2025 and ending on 30th September 2026 the appointed individual will report directly to the Marketing and Communications Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualise and design creative content for entity digital platforms, print, social media,  and event branding.

  • Develop brand aligned graphics, illustrations, infographics, and layouts.

  • Design and prepare promotional material, reports, and presentations.

  • Collaborate with the communications and marketing team to deliver campaigns.

  • Ensure timely delivery of projects in line with deadlines and briefs.

  • Maintain consistency of branding and visual identity across platforms.

  • Stay updated with current design trends and tools.

  • Ensuring consistent, effective and impactful visual messaging across various platforms

  • Leading the creation of guidelines on how Logos and other branding materials should be displayed and used

Minimum Requirements

Accredited and Recognised Qualifications:National Diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia Design, or a related field.


Relevant Experience:At least three (3) years’ proven working experience as a Graphic Designer, with demonstrated capability in both digital and print media. Experience must include:

·       Development of corporate communication materials (reports, presentations, newsletters, and promotional items).

·       Creation of marketing and campaign content for digital platforms.

·       Experience in brand identity development and application.

·       A comprehensive design portfolio showcasing previous professional work (mandatory for consideration).

Skills Required

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro).
• Strong understanding of layout, typography, and visual communication principles.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver within deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Knowledge of social media content design and digital marketing will be advantageous.
• Photography and video editing skills will be considered an added advantage.
