CHIEF FINANCE OFFICER - RE-ADVERTISED
Purpose of the post
To provide strategic financial leadership and ensure sustainable financial management, credible reporting, effective supply chain management and compliance with public-sector financial prescripts.
Minimum Requirement
Recognised NQF Level 8 qualification in Accounting, Financial Management or a related field.
Postgraduate qualification and CA(SA), CIMA or equivalent professional registration will be an advantage.
At least ten years’ relevant financial-management experience, including five years at senior-management level.
Extensive knowledge of GRAP, PFMA, Treasury Regulations, SCM prescripts, governance and risk management.
A Valid driver’s licence.

Key Responcibilities
Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, treasury and revenue management.
Ensure compliance with the PFMA, Treasury Regulations, GRAP, tax requirements and approved policies.
Oversee annual and quarterly financial statements, audit readiness and audit action plans.
Direct supply chain, asset, expenditure, revenue and financial-control functions.
Advise the Accounting Authority and executive management on financial risks and decisions.
Lead and develop the finance team and promote accountability and ethical conduct.
