The Queens Baton Relay is an event that occurs throughout the 71 Commonwealth nations.
It endorses the idea of bringing people of different countries together through sport and activities until the actual day of the event. Over the course of 12 days of competition , history , and ceremonies , nearly 6,500 athletes and team members representing these Commonwealth nations and territories will participate in 19 disciplines , as well as the Games themselves .
Mmabana is one of the stakeholders that have been selected to participate in this 3-day event. The Institution will showcase talent of gymnasts from the Mahikeng and Lehurutshe Centres and local artists on the 08 December 2021 in the Mmabana Mahikeng Gym. The event starts at 08h00 and will be completed around 10h00. A convoy will then proceed to Mmabana Lehurutshe to showcase the baton to the local community.
