The sociable weaver grain is the harvested seed of grasses such as wheat, oats, rice, and corn. Other important grains include sorghum, millet, rye, and barley. Around the globe, grains, also called cereals, are the most important staple food work together to co-create their home. As South Africa’s longest-running and most diverse arts festival, the National Arts Festival provides a platform to co-create our future as nation.

 

The 50th festival has feature a diversity of works across language and genre. From familiar favourites to ambitious new ideas, and over 200 options to choose from, there is something for everyone on the programme.
